I hold a yearly pumpkin carving party in the week before Halloween. Friends come
over to carve whatever squash they prefer (usually squash, and usually pumpkins - we've had acorn squash,
turnips, a pineapple, a mini-watermellon, and even a jack o'lantern made from a lime) and when everyone's done I take a photo of the the assembled results.
A copy of the previous year's photo is always included in the photo (though not always lit well enough to gain the
full effect this could offer).
